WAP applications

Mobile Internet is holds exciting possibilities for the future, but is currently held back by the poorness of the interface available on mobile phones. Because of this WAP sites are limited to displaying a few words at most. I have produced two WAP applications, one giving basic contact information for Bournemouth & Poole College (http://intranet.bpc.ac.uk/index.wml ), and one using ASP to make a searchable internal telephone book available to WAP phones. The main benefit of these projects was familiarisation with XML, in which WML is defined.
